MIS Steak Bake - Volunteer for the Veterans - August 2nd and 3rd, Saturday and Sunday
The MIS Steak Bake is a huge community service event for Nikkei Bridge and helps an amazing group of people--the veterans of the Military Intelligence Service!
Please come out to Maryknoll and show your support! Saturday is prep day and we will be doing lots of food preparation as well as setting up the tables/chairs for the event. On Sunday, we will be cooking day and we will also be hosting the bingo event! Come out, volunteer, make some new friends, and have fun! Even if you can't make both days, please come out for one shift or even just a couple of hours! Any time that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Here are the shifts (but they are flexible):
Saturday will be preparation for the event from 9:00am – 2:00pm.
Sunday will consist of two shifts. Preparation from 8:00am – 1:00pm & Service and Clean Up from 12:00pm – 5:00pm.
Please e-mail Jill at service@nikkei-bridge.org if you can make it! Hope to see many of you there!

Jenny Hu
Sr. Decision Support Analyst at CHLA (Childrens Hospital Los Angeles)
It is an honor to have Jenny Hu as our Bridgster of the month. Jenny joined Nikkei Bridge in the fall of 2005 to have fun and meet people. Her first Nikkei Bridge event was the Halloween party in 2005. Her interests include eating, sleeping, traveling, random roadtrips, reading, adventures w/family and friends. She especially loves to travel. She loves big cities, tropical places, cities with lots of history and has been to Europe and Asia multiple times. Some of Jenny's favorite foods include cookies and cream ice cream and yummy cocktails like kir royal. When you see Jenny at our next event, say "Hi!" and congratulate her for her service as a Nikkei Bridge member.
